Governor's School wins Port Folio Award for best season.

GSA Theatre Department and the Performing Arts Department were a real standout at this year's "Portfolio Weekly Awards for Excellence in Theater."  The awards honor theatrical achievement by Hampton Roads area community, college and non-profit theatre groups.  Every Theatre department production during the 2003/04 season was represented and GSA took home three top honors.  GSA Theatre received awards for "Best Scenic Design" and "Best Lighting Design" for THE TEMPEST, as well the organization's top honor which was shared with the Performing Arts Department. PA and Theatre were awarded the prize for "Best Season" of the 2003/04year.

Shawn S. Crawford--Best Lighting Design (HEATHEN VALLEY)
Rose Henderson Deihl--Best Costume Desgin (HEATHEN VALLEY)
Shawn S. Crawford--Best Scenic Design (THE TEMPEST)*
Kenton Yeager--Best Lighting Design (THE TEMPEST)*
Steve J. Earle--Best Director of a Comedy (THE TEMPEST)
