Guest artists are a regular part of Governor's School life. The Instrumental Music Department has welcomed many of the world's finest musicians to lead master classes with its young professionals.

Previous guest artists have included Isaac Stern, Chuck Mangione, Joseph Alessi, The Academy of Ancient Music, Ellis Marsalis, the Imani Winds, Bradley Gardner, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, the Cavani String Quartet, Ransom Wilson, Philip Smith, David Schifrin, the Borromeo String Quartet, Karel Husa, John Nakamatsu and the Miami String Quartet.
