CALL FOR DANCES
Each participating school in the Festival is invited to submit works to be considered for Festival performances. There will be several concerts featuring different programs during the weekend. An adjudication committee will blind review dvds of works submitted. Your dance, if accepted, will be placed on one of the programs determined by the committee.

RULES AND GUIDELINES (Please read carefully)

* A TOTAL OF FOUR WORKS MAY BE SUBMITTED BY ANY ONE SCHOOL IF FACULTY AND STUDENTS ARE SUBMITTING WORKS:


No more than two faculty works may be submitted by any one school. Choreography may be by a guest choreographer, a reconstruction, or by a faculty member.


No more than two student choreographed works may be submitted by any one school.


* IF NO STUDENT CHOREOGRAPHY IS BEING SUBMITTED, SCHOOLS MAY SUBMIT ONLY THREE WORKS TOTAL.


* Dances should be 3-12 minutes in length. No work longer than 12 minutes will be adjudicated.


* Dances must be in costume and completed.

* Works submitted must be in one of the following dance idioms: Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, or Ethnic/Cultural


* Dancers MUST be full-time high school students, currently enrolled in 9-12th grade at the school submitting the dances.


* Only works to be adjudicated may appear on the dvd.


* Clearly mark the OUTSIDE of the dvd. No school identification may appear on the dvd.

* DVD only


DVD MUST be received no later than January 9, 2009
